"Because I don't support the guy in the house."

The New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions and with that title comes a free trip to the White House to visit with President Trump, though not everyone is exactly jumping for joy at that opportunity.

Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft will all certainly be making the celebratory trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to meet with Trump, but Patriots' tight end Martellus Bennett won't be a part of it.

After last night's Super Bowl LI victory, Bennett told reporters that he isn't going to the White House and he doesn't care what anyone, including Pats owner Robert Kraft, thinks.

Bennett's announcement that he'll be skipping the white House visit shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has been following him lately.

Prior to Super Bowl LI, he simply told SportsDayDFW's David Moore:

"Because I don't support the guy in the house," he said.

Check out what Bennett had to say about his decision to skip the White House trip below.
