Taxstone appeared in court one day after being arrested in connection the last year's Irving Plaza shooting.

Taxstone was arraigned in federal Manhattan court Tuesday, one day after arrested for his suspected connection to last year's Irving Plaza shooting that left Troy Ave's bodyguard dead.

According to a police complaint, Taxstone's DNA was found all over the 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun that was used to kill Ronald McPhatter in an Irving Plaza green room last May. Though he was only charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, Taxstone listened to Assistant District Attorney Hagan Scotten accuse him of killing McPhatter in court Tuesday. "He had a gun in his hand and he murdered someone," Scotten said

According to DNAInfo, prosecutors "used statements that [Taxstone] made on his podcast, including times he repeatedly mocked Troy Ave" during the arraignment. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
