Just last week we received a new music video from DMX and it looked as though the rapper was attempting to leave all of his troublesome ways behind. But according to a report from ABC6 the rapper abandoned his pet Pit Bull, named X, at "The Four Paws Pet Resort" in Warwick, Rhode Island in October when he stopped paying his bill. The resort has been housing the dog since August of last year.
Owner of the facility Chad Callahan claims that he talked to the rapper about putting the dog up for adoption but has yet to receive proper confirmation to do so. You can read an excerpt of his comments below.
I was able to get him on the phone and I asked him very specifically if he would he like us to assist him and adopt out his dog. He said yes. So, I asked him to send us a letter relinquishing ownership of the dog and we’d be happy to help. He agreed but then a month went by and we didn’t hear from him again. Bully breeds don’t fair very well in shelters They try their best but staff often get overwhelmed with them and a lot of them get euthanized. He’s such a nice sweet dog and he doesn’t deserve that so we’re just trying to do our part.
While the "Bain Iz Back" rapper has not made a statement regarding the situation, he could land in hot water if he does not respond to the incident as Animal Control could soon get involved.
