A new MacBook Pro is in the works.

For the first time in four years, Apple is finally planning to overhaul the MacBook Pro laptop line.

According to Bloomberg, the new MacBook Pro will be thinner, will house a more powerful and efficient graphics process for gamers, and will include a touch screen strip for function keys.

Instead of physical keys, a strip-like screen will present functions on an as-needed basis that fit the current task or application. The smaller display will use Organic Light-Emitting Diodes, a thinner, lighter and sharper screen technology, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier this year.

For instance, the panel will display media playback controls when iTunes is open, and could display editing commands like cut and paste during word processing tasks. Additionally, Apple is looking to bring Touch ID fingerprint security, like we've all used on the iPhone, which would allow users to log in more quickly an authenticate Apple Pay purchases.

The new laptops have been in "advanced testing" since the beginning of the new year but they're still not likely to be featured at the upcoming event in September which will introduce the new iPhone 7
