French Montana performs on stage at the 2015 BET Awards on June 28, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

Fresh off "Wave Gods," French told The Breakfast Club that his studio album is finally on the way.

French Montana is taking full advantage of radio promotion these days. After premiering his mixtape Wave Gods (hosted by Max B) on DJ Khaled's "We the Best" radio show, the Hanh Man swung by Power 105.1 studios to discuss the mixtape and other topics with Angela Yee, DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha Godddd.

The most important part of the interview is when French reveals that Wave Gods is the final mixtape before he drops his oft-delayed studio album Mac & Cheese: The Album. "Bout to put it out next month," he told Charlamagne.

Next month! It sounded like the album was still coming together when French last shared an update in January. We've been waiting on the album since at least M&C 4: The Appetizerwhich dropped in December 2014.

Other topics French addressed in his Breakfast Club interview: his upcoming film "Respect the Shooter," Kanye's lack of Max B awareness, the Kanye-Wiz Twitter beef, his relationship with Khloe Kardashian, his admiration of Kendrick Lamar, and more. Watch the whole thing below.
