Spike Lee's film "Chiraq" will star Kanye West, Common, Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Piven.

As an actor, Kanye West has made cameos in a number of films ("The Love Guru" and "Anchorman 2," to name a few), and starred in a few of his own, but he's never had that major of a role in someone else's movie. We've just learned that he'll be starring in an upcoming film called "Chiraq" that Spike Lee is directing, alongside the more seasoned actor/rapper Common, as well as Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Piven.

The movie will be hitting Amazon Instant, and thus far, details are scarce. West seems like he'll be focusing on film more than ever this year, as he's also executive producing the soundtrack of TV drama "Underground" and will appear in the forthcoming "Zoolander" sequel.
