Brazilian soccer star, Neymar, is set to become the first footballer in history to have an Air Jordan created in his name.
Michael Jordan and Neymar Jr. share a mutual respect that transcends sports, countries, and languages. Neymar Jr. grew up a fan of the man and the brand, while Jordan appreciates Neymar Jr.’s style on and off the pitch.
Now, as part of a unique Nike/Jordan collaboration, Neymar Jr. becomes the first soccer athlete to feature the Jumpman on his performance product. Additionally, the Jordan Brand will release a Neymar edition of the Jordan V Low with “Neymar” stitched inside the tongue.
Designed to mimic Neymar's outrageous play on the pitch, the 'Neymar' Air Jordan 5 Low features a fully reflective silver upper with black speckles and beaming infrared accents throughout. Furthering the ties to Neymar, the kicks will also include his #10 as well as the classic #23.
Select Nike and Jordan Brand retailers will be serving up the 'Neymar' Air Jordan 5 Low this week, June 3rd- the kicks will carry a solid $200 price tag.
