Will Smith drops a bombshell in his interview.

“Bad Boys II” is undoubtedly a classic action film. Michael Bay directed the movie in all his explosive glory, with stars Will Smith and Marin Lawrence providing excellent chemistry that carried the plot through more than a few holes. However, despite rumors and fans clamoring for more, the 2003 action film has never been slated for a sequel. That is, until we heard it from the horse’s mouth.

Will Smith appeared on a BBC Radio 1Xtra show and spoke on a number of topics, but most importantly he had this to say about recently reconnecting with his old co-star Martin Lawrence: I saw Martin [Lawrence] a few weeks ago," Smith retold, "I haven't seen him in about two years. We looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another Bad Boys. We're definitely doing another one.”

Somehow (how??) the host doesn’t ask any follow up questions about that bombshell, but we’re inclined to believe Smith can make it happen with his incredibly deep pocketbooks. A quick look at IMDB reveals not only a “Bad Boys 3,” but also a “Bad Boys 4.” None of this guarantees the films will be made, but between Will Smith’s quote and these other signs, we’re willing to believe the Bad Boys series is the next film in line to get the “Fast and the Furious” franchise treatment.

Check out the full interview down bottom. Even though Will Smith may have been feeling nostalgic, he assured everyone "Wild Wild West 2" is "definitely not happening."
