Nicki Minaj feels her videos would be honored by MTV if she was a "different kind of artist".

Nicki Minaj certainly had two of the biggest event videos in recent memory. "Anaconda" managed to smash VEVO records for most streams in a day upon its release, shooting the previously lukewarm single to the number 2 spot. "Feelin' Myself" felt similarly huge, even when released through Tidal, a medium that has generally killed the hype for even the biggest artists' releases (just ask Rihanna).

With videos that caused such a craze, it's surprising that neither one got a nomination from Video Of The Year at the upcoming MTV VMAs and Minaj has taken notice.

Rather than subtweeting, Nicki decided to @ the channel in her tweets, as she took them to task for rewarding the "other" girls who released videos that impacted culture, but not hers. If I was a different "kind" of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well," she said.

Despite being snubbed for VOTY, Minaj's "Anaconda" did manage to grab noms in the "Best Female Performance," and "Best Hip-Hop Video" categories.

Read her tweets below. Should MTV add her to the top prize ticket?
