The wait is over. ScHoolboy Q's lead single to his fifth studio album is upon us, the first solo endeavor he's released since 2016. Before unveiling "Numb Numb Juice" to the masses, Q loaded up on teasers. Clips depicting him at the crux of his production run. It worked like a charm, on a public whose appetite for ScHoolboy Q material had grown weary in his absence, but not for much longer.

The early reception of "Numb Numb Juice" has been remarkably positive, but not necessarily due to the song's singular quality, but all the positive signs that come with it: namely the commencement of Q's album rollout.

On the basis of the song itself, the reviews have been generally positive, in light of the fact "Numb Numb Juice" doesn't reach the 2-minute mark in length and is, therefore, something of a palate teaser at best.

At worst, the song is a little rough around the edges, as one of my colleagues put it rather bluntly. And though many social media commenters would be inclined to agree with his assessment, the consensus among TDE fans is overwhelmingly positive, they who wear their badge of honor like a Scout moving up the ranks.
