Magic Johnson unexpectedly stepped down as President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, just moments before the team's regular season finale. The Lakers went on to lose by the final of 104-101, as they wrapped up the 2018-19 campaign with a record of 37-45.
Less than 24 hours after Magic's resignation, Fox Sports 1's "Undisputed" invited LaVar Ball onto the program to share his thoughts on the matter. Naturally, LaVar had plenty to say, including the following:
"Magic, from my point of view now, listening to him talk, he's just a face. I don't think his say-so is like his say-so. ... I'm trying to figure out who's in charge [of the Lakers]. The system is crumbling down. I don't know what's going on over there."

As seen in the video clip embedded above, LaVar also spoke about how he still wants his three sons, Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo to play on the same NBA team. Whether it's with the Los Angeles Lakers or another team, like the Phoenix Suns, the Ball patriarch is hellbent on creating an NBA "dynasty" around his three boys.
LaVar's recent comments on "Undisputed" back up a recent report by Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes. While Lonzo Ball was searching for a new agency (he has since agreed to a deal with CAA), Haynes reported the following:
"LaVar Ball has re-emerged as the shot-caller in orchestrating his son’s next pivotal move."
"In the process of vetting agent candidates during meetings, LaVar is inquiring if the agencies have the power to pair his three sons — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo — on the same NBA team."
The Lakers' 37-45 record ranks 11th worst in the NBA this season, but we won't find out their draft positioning until the NBA Lottery on May 14.
