Chris Haynes reports, "LaVar Ball has re-emerged as the shot-caller."

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball is in for a busy off-season.

In addition to recovering from an ankle injury that forced him to miss nearly half of the season, Lonzo could be in line for a new sneaker deal, and he'll also need to find a new agent. Ball recently announced his decision to cut ties with agent Harrison Gaines, who has been Ball's agent since Ball left UCLA after his freshman season.

Although it appeared that the 21-year old guard would be making his own moves moving forward, his father LaVar Ball is apparently still heavily involved in the search for a new agent.

According to a report by Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes, "LaVar Ball has re-emerged as the shot-caller in orchestrating his son’s next pivotal move."

"In the process of vetting agent candidates during meetings, LaVar is inquiring if the agencies have the power to pair his three sons — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo — on the same NBA team."

Haynes reports that CAA is viewed as the favorite to represent Ball moving forward, but "there are concerns from respective agents with LaVar’s involvement and where the family stands financially with the failed Big Baller Brand."

Lonzo recently scrubbed his instagram account of all things related to Big Baller Brand - and went a step further when he covered up the BBB tattoo on his right arm - after it was revealed that BBB co-founder Alan Foster had stolen more than $1.5 million. Foster was obviously fired, and Ball has since hinted at making a switch to Nike.
