Harlem Heat announced as part of 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class.

"Harlem Heat," the 1990s tag team consisting of Booker T and Stevie Ray will be immortalized in the WWE Hall of Fame on the eve of WrestleMania 35, Saturday, April 6, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Harlem Heat join the likes of D-Generation X, The Honky Tonk Man and Torrie Wilson as confirmed inductees in the 2019 Hall of Fame Class.

Booker T will become a two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee, joining Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, who will also earn his second HOF nod next month as a member of DX.

According to WWE, Booker T & Stevie Ray made their WCW debut in the summer of 1993, where they went on to do battle with Sting, Ric Flair and the British Bulldog, among some other of WCW's top superstars.

The duo later joined forces with Hall of Famer Sensational Sherri as they captured their first WCW Tag Team Championship by defeating Stars & Stripes. In total, Harlem Heat held the straps a WCW-record 10 times, which included bouts against iconic Tag teams such as The Steiner Brothers, Sting & Lex Luger and The Nasty Boys.

Harlem Heat split up in 1997, as Stevie joined the nWO and Booker starred as a singles competitor. However, they reunited shortly thereafter to win the WCW tag team titles three more times before the company was ultimately purchased by WWE.

As WWE notes, Booker T and Stevie Ray never competed as a team inside a WWE ring, but there’s no denying their pure dominance of tag-team wrestling during "The Monday Night War."
