The Wu-Tang series adds a few key players.

As hip-hop gains a deeper history, the importance of immortalizing stories becomes increasingly important. The potential for different biopics are boundless, and films like Straight Outta Compton and 8 Mile prove that dramatic films can emerge as a result. While it's possible that your favorite rappers are already in talks to bring their stories to life, rest assured that Wu-Tang is in the process of realizing it. The legendary Clan has already teamed up with Hulu to bring an original series to life, and the show has officially cast a few notable names.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that  Wu-Tang: An American Saga has tapped Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Siddiq Saunderson (Messiah), Zolee Griggs (Ballers), Erika Alexander (Get Out) and Marcus Callender (Power). While the scripted series is only loosely based on the Clan's come-up, expect it to remain close to reality. Sanders is set to play Bobby Diggs, a name Wu-aficionados will likely recognize.

It's unclear how the remaining Clan members will be portrayed, but given that the series features the consultation of Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Gza, and the Estate of Ol' Dirty Bastard, expect it to be in good hands.
