Lil Wayne has a lot to celebrate. The journey to the release of Tha Carter V has been filled with adversity. Before releasing the album, Wayne was embroiled in legal battles and encountered considerable strife in integral business and personal relationships, most notably with his longtime mentor, Birdman. Nonetheless, Wayne managed to overcome several hurdles and on the auspicious night of the "Tha Carter V" album release, celebrated his 36th birthday at Hubble Studios in Los Angeles.
Wayne's party was a sincere reflection of the rapper's tastes. Guests were treated to traditional New Orleans style food catered by Trap Kitchen, no doubt a tribute to Wayne's Louisianna origins. Outside the party, a skate ramp was installed allowing various skaters to display their best skills. Partygoers also had access to both a candy bar and a marijuana bar.
The guest list for the bash was star-studded with big players from a number of fields in the entertainment industry in attendance. Party-goers included Stevie Wonder, Big Sean, Ashanti, Chris Brown, Tiffany Haddish, Timbaland, Ray J, Wiz Khalifa, Swae Lee, Shaggy, Trippie Redd, Trey Songz, Draya Michelle, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd. It's safe to say that Wayne was showered with a number of opulent gifts, as he deserves to be, with reports stating that Ray J gifted Wayne a personalized skateboard.
