T.I. uses his political connections to bring turkeys to the elderly for Thanksgiving.

T.I. has been about giving back to his community in whatever way he can. The rapper recently joined forces with Atlanta's Mayor Keisha Bottoms for the thirteenth annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in Atlanta.

T.I. handed out hundreds of turkeys to the elderly today as part of the annual Thankgiving turkey giveaway in southwest Atlanta. The rapper teamed up with Keisha Bottoms, who recruited T.I. as a member of her transition team, as well as volunteers and city representatives to hand out turkeys to local grandparents raising their grandchildren. This year's annual event was co-hosted alongside T.I.'s non-profit Harris Community Works.

"Thanksgiving is about giving thanks and showing appreciation to the people you consider a family," T.I. told WSBTV.

This is far from the first time T.I. has tried to do his part to help his community around the holidays. Last year, the rapper helped some single mothers do some last-minute Christmas shopping and paid for everyone's gifts. The rapper ultimately ended up dropping $20K in total within a 30-minute span to ensure that that people had gifts for their children. The rapper left abruptly after that in order to catch a flight. It's something that he's done on numerous occasions in the past.

Aside from the Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, the rapper recently revealed that he has plans to buy and flip as many buildings as he could in his old neighborhood and turn them into affording housing units.
