Joy Behar has yet to respond to the controversy.

Joy Behar is a comedian known more recently for her hosting duties on The View. The 76-year-old has now come under fire due to a 2016 episode of the talk show where she admitted to once dressing as a "Beautiful African Woman" for Halloween. Joy was 29-years-old at the time and she told the audience that although her curly hair was natural, she used "makeup that was a little bit darker."

At the time, the only non-white co-host next to her was Raven-Symoné who seemed puzzled and kept questioning just what she was looking at since the photo was also shown to the studio audience. The resurfaced clip was shared by The Wrap media editor Jon Levine which sparked endless comments and conversations on Twitter.

The clip is even taking on more steam since Virginia Democrats are also coming under fire for old photos of them in blackface from their post-secondary days.

"@JoyVBehar because you put the word “beautiful” before blackface we are just supposed to say, oh it’s ok," one Twitter user wrote. "Others meaning republicans have been “fired” for using the word blackface. Guess double standards ok for your hypocritical nonsense and the pure BS you preach!! #firejoybehar."
