Twitter was filled with dramatic exchanges over the weekend with Kanye West exposing his gripes toward Drake and eventually, Ariana Grande. The pop singer's ex-fiancée, Pete Davidson, also had an intense moment on social media, signaling a seemingly suicidal mental state. Before his virtual meltdown, which was followed by the deletion of his Instagram account, the comedian addressed West's online situation.
In a post that is now unavailable, Davidson expressed his support for Alien Ye. From his perspective, Kanye is displaying bravery that will benefit society.
"Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health,” he wrote on Saturday. ”I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this.”
The 25-year-old entertainer, who has publicly discussed his own issues with mental health, added, “We need people like Kanye.”
And although he doesn't name Ariana directly in his next post, she is most likely included in the "no one" he refers to when stating that Kanye shouldn't be attacked or mocked while he goes through the motions of his mental disorder.
“No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health,” he added. “I’m seriously disgusted.”
Ariana later apologized for her joke.
