Brie Larson is slated to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse as "Captain Marvel" in the eponymously titled project. There's nothing strange about her appointment, except for the fact that she was forced to film her cumulative scenes out of sequence. Larson signed on for a collected suit of films, released months apart, meaning her shooting schedule didn't follow the proper chronology.
Larson was forced to shoot her scenes in Avengers: Endgame, an amalgamated project, before filming began for Captain Marvel, even though her titular project comes out a month in advance. Brie Larson was thereby forced to be more tactful than usual, for two big reasons: 1) in order to remain unaffected by spoilers, 2) not to share those spoilers with co-stars who didn't know the long-term fate of the characters they'd been assigned. Brie wasn't privy to inside scoop, but rather a temporal lapse fell into her lap, created by a tight shooting schedule.
"I just never wanted to feel like I was going to slip up or that I was going to say the wrong thing,” the actress told USA Today. "I was like: I can’t live with myself being the one that spoils something. So I really just deleted it." And just like that, Larson "deleted" or rather, cleared her conscience allowing her to face her co-star and her own self-consciousness, in one step forward.
