Jada's mom gets real about racial divides growing up.

Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk just keeps getting deeper and deeper as the latest episode sees Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, admit that she wasn't into Jada's former boyfriend John because he was white. “It’s really difficult for me because we have white people in our family,” Adrienne told Jada and her granddaughter, Willow, explaining how she was doing what her mother taught her.

“I repeated what Mommy told me, was that you have to learn to get along with white people, but don’t ever bring them home,” she said, adding how she never gave herself the “opportunity to even like John.”

Adrienne's nephew married a white woman, and she even discussed how that was something she had to adjust to. “Just like I said, we have people in our family [who are white] and I’ve given them a hard time,” she explained. “Jason is married to a white woman … She will tell you we gave her a hard time because we didn’t welcome her with open arms and she really had to prove herself. I feel bad about that.”
