Nicki Minaj has given Travis Scott the award for "Hoe N**** Of The Week" on her Queen Radio show Tuesday. The award comes after Nicki accused Travis of unfairly inflating his album sales by selling merch bundles and tour passes that contributed to his second-week total, putting him at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 while her fourth studio album Queen debuted at No. 2.
On the show she accused Travis of "selling fucking clothes" rather than music, arguing that he wins the shady award "by a landslide" due to his alleged sales tampering. According to Pitchfork, she also questioned Travis' first week sales, which eclipsed 500,000. “What we're not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling fucking sweaters telling you he sold half a million albums, because he fucking didn't. You stupid fuck. You got your fucking homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the fuck off,” she said. “When [Travis] comes along and sells a tour pass that has nothing to do with his fucking music and says he’s sold more than Kanye West and Nas—no you fucking didn’t, keep it the fuck real. I know I’m that bitch, I know I’m Number 1.”
At the VMAs yesterday, Travis mentioned that he had the No. 1 album on the charts despite Nicki's claim that the Astroworld rapper had told her he knew his album should not be No. 1 in a conversation earlier in the week.
