Nas is fresh off the release of his latest project, Nasir. The highly anticipated album was the follow up to 2012's Life Is Good. However, what really helped build the anticipation for the project was the fact that Kanye West said he was producing the album from top to bottom. Mind you, at the time he announced this, he was also saying some pretty outlandish shit on Twitter so it was kind of hard to take 'Ye's word on things at the time. However, Kanye kept his promise (to us and Barack Obama) and delivered Nas latest album. Nas recently shared some insight on working with Kanye West on Twitter.
Nas had high praises for Kanye West after the two of them worked on Nasir. While the majority of people are aware of Kanye's greatness as an artist, Nas compared the G.O.O.D Music head honcho to one of the greatest music producers of our time.
"Working with Kanye is working with a young Quincy Jones." He wrote, "A musical genius."
While comparing Kanye to Quincy Jones may seem far fetched to some, 'Ye will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest artists of our generation in his own right.
In other Nas related news, the rapper revealed that a cassette version of his new album, Nasir is now available.
