PS1 2020 is going all out for Psychoactive Mushrooms on the Oregon Trail.

The state of Oregon is in the midst of putting a ballot initiative into writing essentially asking voters whether they'd like to legalize the recreational use of psychoactive mushrooms. This is the same progressive state where savory Cannabinoid edibles have been legal to consume since 2015. The approved for the document, penned by chief petitioners Tom and Sheri Eckert, reads as follows:

"The intent of the 2020 Psilocybin Service Initiative of Oregon is to advance a breakthrough therapeutic model currently being perfected in research settings at top universities around the world. The service model involves a sequence of facilitated sessions, including assessment and preparation, psilocybin administration, and integration afterwards. We envision a community-based framework, where licensed providers, along with licensed producers of psilocybin mushrooms, blaze trails in Oregon in accordance with evolving practice standards."

The legal process isn't necessarily going to pass to vote, directly after being put to writing. As with previous legislative efforts in other states, the ledger needs to be signed by a few elected officials before the voting public stakes their claim. Campaigns in Denver in California on the subject of psychoactive mushrooms were ultimately cut short. The PSI 2020 in Oregon has a unique opportunity to be the effort in America if it goes to vote.
