Tory Lanez pays homage to XXXTENTACION on his latest "Memories Don't Die" tour date.

The death of XXXTENTACION is still hard news to digest. He built a personal connection with his fans through his music and although many of them never actually interacted with him, his music gave fans a deep understanding of who he is as a person. Yesterday, Tory Lanez paid his respects to X in his Instagram Story. He admitted that he didn't know the South Florida rapper too well but felt a connection through his music. During a recent stop on his "Memories Dont Die" tour, Lanez paid homage to the late rapper.

Tory Lanez took some time on his most recent tour stop to pay respect to XXXTENTACION. The rapper made his fans take a quick moment of silence before playing "Look At Me!" and getting the crowd all the way turnt up.

"RIP X .... lost another soldier to violence .. really felt like this nigga was my dawg through his music . We were just about to wrk too. .. had to do this 1time," he captioned the post.

It's crazy to think back to when "Look At Me!" first began bubbling up in the mainstream. It was an introduction to XXXTENTACION but wasn't a song that would really definite his career. It was a glimpse to what he had to offer and within a short time frame, he dropped two albums that completely varied each other sound-wise and showed his versatility.
