This is one of the stranger stories we've heard in awhile. An arrest warrant has been issued for a rapper who was thought to be dead, Tim Dog.
WREG reports that a Desoto County, MS judge has issued an arrest warrant for Tim Dog, real name Timothy Blair. The rapper conned a Southhaven woman out of $32,000 through an online dating scam in 2011, however it was reported he died in February.
The victim of Tim's scams, Ellen Pilgrim, believes that Tim is still alive, and pulling yet another scam. The prosecutor who convicted Tim agrees with her. Hernando Prosecutor Steven Jubera said of Tim Dog's presumed death, "I need proof." Jubera is referring to the fact that there seems to be no death certificate for Tim Dog. Jubera added, "I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive."
The rapper was supposed to be making monthly payments to the courts after he was convicted of grand larceny, however, stopped after he was reported "dead."
"Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary," Jubera said. Jubera and Pilgrim aren't the only ones skeptical of Tim's death. Apparently Tim's affiliate, Ced Gee, refused to speak at Tim's funeral because the family could not produce a death certificate. After that, Ced Gee is uncertain a funeral actually happened.
Tim Dog owes $19,000 in restitution to Pilgrim. Jubera says that he will drop the arrest warrant if Tim Dog's family come forward with proof of the rapper's death.
