Pratt just wants to put this behind him.

Chris Pratt has been slower to respond individually to the ongoing James Gunn drama than some of his co-stars. Gunn was fired from Marvel by Disney after decade-old tweets he posted resurfaced online. Gunn satirically poked fun at rape, pedophilia, and a number of other topics that Disney felt they wanted to distance themselves from. Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, was quick to come to Gunn's defense. “I spoke to Chris Pratt the day after it happened and he’s a bit religious so he wanted time to pray and figure it out, but I was more like: f*ck this. This is bullshit. James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met," he stated. Although Pratt did sign the joint letter written by the Guardians cast supporting Gunn, the Star-Lord actor is now chiming in by himself.

While speaking with the Associated PressPratt revealed that he's ready to move on from the drama. “It’s not an easy time. We all love James and he’s a good friend of ours, but we also really love playing the Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s a complicated situation for everybody. And you know, we just want to move forward and do what’s right and be the best people we can be,” he stated. He also revealed how he felt about learning of the shocking firing while he was at Comic-Con. “I love going to Comic-Con but I ended up not doing a lot of interviews around that time just because it was so shocking. All I know is we put a lot of time, thought and effort into the statement that we released about it. And I think we all kind of want that statement to be essentially what we have to say about it. And we were pretty clear and honest about how we feel."
