The 2013 Billboard awards were filled with memorable performances from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and more. However, one performance, or moment rather, stuck out in particular. During Miguel's performance of his hit single "Adorn" he got a little carried away, and attempted to jump across the crowd from one side of the stage to the other. While he almost made the leap, he ended up landing right on top of a fan, a moment which went viral shortly afterward.
Billboard caught up Miguel and the fan he injured just after the incident, and while the R&B singer seemed concerned Khyati was in fairly good spirits for someone who was just dropkicked. “Well, I think it’s kind of clear what happened. But I’m very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met." said Miguel. "Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay. The crazy thing is, when you’re performing and you’re just kind of into it, you never know where it’s gonna go and where you’re gonna go with it, and how that might turn out,” he explained. “So this is one of the less favorable moments. Got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay.”
