6ix9ine's Felony Assault On An Officer Charge Reduced To Misdemeanor: Report

Tekashi 6ix9ine's been incredibly fortunate these past few days. While his legal issues all came at him around the same time, it looks like his lawyers are working to make sure he's alright. Earlier today, the rapper turned himself in to Texas authorities and immediately posted bail. Now, it's reported that another felony charge that he had was reduced to a misdemeanor.

According to TMZ, Tekashi 6ix9ine's felony assault on an officer charge was brought down to a misdemeanor assault. The rapper was initially facing seven years behind bars for the felony assault but now, he faces a maximum of one year.

Earlier this year, the rapper was charged with assaulting a cop following a traffic stop. A cop accused Tekashi of squeezing his arm as he took off the handcuffs off the rapper which he claimed resulted in his arm to swell.

The prosecutors on the case didn't feel that the alleged injuries were enough for a felony charge so they decided to bring it down to a misdemeanor.

Things seem to be working better than expected for 6ix9ine right now. The rapper's arraignment in Texas is scheduled for Friday but he could be in court as early as today. He's currently facing a maximum of one year in prison if he's found guilty of a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly putting his hands on a kid in Harris County, Texas.
