Host Chris Hardwick and his wife Lydia Hearst arrive at The Walking Dead 100th Episode Premiere and Party on October 22, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

Chris Hardwick is feeling grateful.

Chris Hardwick is back. The Talking Dead host was suspended from his job earlier this year after his former girlfriend Chloe Dykstra revealed that she was emotionally ravaged by Hardwick during their relationship. Dykstra claimed that Harwick would not allow her to drink alcohol, forced her to have sex, was not allowed to have male friends, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Apparently, Hardwick used his power and influence to control her every move and heavily scolded her when she strayed from his direction.

Harwich was given his job back after a brief investigation by AMC. According to Deadlineseveral co-workers have left AMC in support of Dykstra, claiming that the investigation was anything but fair. Speaking with the audience upon his reinstatement, Harwick chose not to bring up his ex, nor did he speak about the alleged abuse. Instead, the host thanked his fans emotionally. “Normally I recap the show we’re about to talk about here, but instead I just wanted to take a minute to say that I am so appreciative to be standing here right now and I want to thank you, the Walking Dead community, for all of your support these last couple of months," he stated. "This show is not just a job to me. This is a vital part of my life, you know, and this has been a sanctuary these last seven years we've been here."
