Joey Trap steps to the mic.

The man who has braved the hellish landscapes of both Sesame Street and Bikini Bottom has emerged to tell the table. Joey Trap, aka Trap Jack, has come forth for the latest installment of the HNHH Freestyle Series, taking to a distorted, brass-driven instrumental. Though a purveyor of a decidedly new-school flow, Trap showcases his versatility as he navigates a boom-bap loop like an old soul.

"Joey be killing beats it ain't no problem, I got like a thirty-clip inside my pocket," he spits, sliding into a double-time flow, "A n***a be talking shit and I'm a rob him." He proceeds to showcase some Star Wars knowledge, explaining how he transitioned from Obi-Wan into the morally dubious Anakin Skywalker, in other words "from chosen to frozen." Peep the freestyle now, and sound off. While a little on the brief side, it remains a promising testament to Trap's abilities, and we look forward to hearing his next endeavor.

Quotable Lyrics

Joey be killing beats it ain't no problem
I got like a thirty-clip inside my pocket
A n***a be talking shit and I'm a rob him
