Harry Potter may be the most famous wizard in the world. Sometime in the last decade, his popularity ascended past Merlin or even Gandalf, with theme parks, spin-off books, and new films still touching down as we speak. In fact, the new Fantastic Beasts film is set to debut this Fall. It appears that JK Rowling is crafting her Wizarding World to act like the Star Wars universe, with ever-expanding stories and adventures taking place over thousands of years. Now, according to Comicbook.com, new footage has been leaked of a third person adventure game based in the Harry Potter universe.
After the footage leaked online, fans speculated if the clip was real or not. The game is rumored to be in development by Rocksteady Games, the same developer that crafted the Batman Arkham series. Warner Bros. seemingly confirmed that the gameplay footage was real by forcing Youtube and other sites to take down the leaked video. Damage control is a definite nod to the fact Warner Bros. has this game tucked away somewhere, possibly still in development.
