Diddy no longer wants to be an NFL owner.

In a recent interview with BigBoyTV, Diddy stated his plan to back out on his proposed bid(s) to become an NFL owner. Diddy regretted coming to this stalemate, after seeing his fellow Black men treated so poorly by a league they helped build. This isn't the first instance in which Diddy started backpedaling on his decision to own a franchise. Back in 2017, in the midst of the anthem protests, Diddy tweeted that his new dream is "to own our own league!" There was even an instance where he revealed an ambitious plan to buy a team just to end Colin Kaepernick's work stoppage, but that never came to light unfortunately.

Diddy opened the floor for greater political discussion by deeming the NFL's new anthem policy a halfwit resolution. "I don’t want to be associated with oppressing black men," he said. "I don’t want to be associated with telling grown ass men what they can and can’t do." Diddy capped the discussion over his 180 decision by expressing regret that he had to abandon his dream. Diddy, a committed football fan, thereby rescinded his efforts to effect change in the sports arena, leaving it to the league to settle its own affairs: "I hope they do what they have to do to fix it, and I hope they re-engage my dream to want to do that."
