GoldLink first released the melodious track "Got Friends" back in June. The smooth single was one of GoldLink's first releases since his 2017 album, At What Cost. The song, complimented by Miguel's gentle and refined vocals, was well received. GoldLink did not, however, follow up its release with an album campaign, or anything else for the matter, until the recent release of these visuals.
The video for the song takes fans on a cinematic voyage. It is shot in the style of a short film and follows a group of friends on an ordinary, and initially humdrum night out. The night suddenly takes a turn towards the unexpected and viewers are left wondering how the friends will fare in the face of an uncertain fate.
