Tina Lawson can admit when she's wrong.

Beyonce's mom may very well never question her daughter's vision ever again. Bey was the first Black woman to headline Coachella this past weekend and her jaw-dropping performance was nothing short of amazing. Tina Lawson recently took to Instagram to admit that she was "afraid" of what her eldest daughter had planned for her headlining act. Needless to say, she now stands corrected.

"I told Beyonce that I was afraid that the predominately white audience at Coachella would be confused by all of the black culture and Black college culture because it was something that they might not get," she said in her post. "Her brave response to me made me feel a-bit selfish and ashamed. She said I have worked very hard to get to the point where I have a true voice and At this point in my life and my career I have a responsibility to do whats best for the world and not what is most popular."

Beyonce did just that. Her performance had 100 dancers, students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and as the post below suggests, she even brought some Wakanada vibes.

After her set at the festival, Beyonce announced that she will be donating $100,000 To HBCU through her BeyGOOD initiative.
