The Black and Latin Spider-Man is getting his own film.

Marvel Comics has spent the last several years trying to diversify their catalog. Most superheroes have one thing in common, they're white men. Marvel switched things up when they turned Falcon into Captain America, had Jane Foster become Thor, and created a half Black, half Latino Spider-Man. Although it may sound confusing, in the comics, Marvel had several universes. It allowed the company to tell different stories about the same characters simultaneously, without confusing plots. In Marvel's "Ultimate" universe, Peter Park died and Miles Morales became Spider-Man.

Miles Morales and Peter Parker are both set to appear as the wall-crawler in a new movie that will hit theaters this December. Entitled Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the animated film looks like a mix between anime and Disney CGI. The gorgeous visuals are on display in the new trailer, which also gives fans a glimpse at Spider-Gwen, which is a female take on Spider-Man who exists in an alternate universe as well.

The voice cast includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, Liev Schreiber as the villainous crime lord Kingpin, Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen,  Mahershala Ali as Miles’ uncle Aaron, Brian Tyree Henry as Miles’ police father Jefferson, Luna Lauren Velez as Miles’ mother Rio, and Lily Tomlin as Aunt May.
