The G.O.O.D. Music artist met up with DJ Semtex in London to discuss the the project.

We recently saw a tentative track list for Big Sean's upcoming Hall Of Fame album, and now more details have come to light in an interview with DJ Semtex. The two discussed the project at length after a private listening session at Metropolis Studios in London, England.

"I really didn't listen to anybody, I just wanted to make a statement, to make something that's going to last ten years from now, to make something that, whether you play it on the radio or not, people are gonna hear it because it's that meaningful, it's that powerful" said Sean.

He and Semtex both agreed that "Fire" is a standout track to watch for. It includes the line "My grandma said when she saw my commercials / Stop having people at your shows that wasn't at rehearsals." Sean claims to draw much of his inspiration from conversations with friends and family.

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper also stated that Common "snapped" on the track "Switch Up", which looks to be another highlight from the album and something new for both artists. Also, it was revealed that Nas and No I.D. approached Sean with the track "First Chain", which sounds promising to us. Nas apparently told him "I think people generally fuck with you and want to see you win".

Semtex made reference to "the most controversial track" on the album, but the title was censored and Sean cut him short. Guess we'll have to wait and see about that one.

"We gon' drop it [the album] as soon as we can, this summer for sure" said Sean. "It's getting mixed, it's getting worked on... I took my time with it, but I'm trying to get that shit out as fast as I can. I'm not trying to hold back, I'm not trying to wait. We've got the songs, we've got the plans, we've got videos to shoot."

Semtex described the album as a "classic" right off the bat, but it seems too early to judge that at this point. Watch the full interview below, and keep an eye our for new information concerning the project, which will be released via Def Jam Records and G.O.O.D. Music:
