Custody battles aren't known to be a great sight. In particular, Mel B and ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte are having troubles regarding visitation rights. Belafonte wants to freely see his step-daughter, Angel, whose biological father is comedian, Eddie Murphy.
Despite DNA tests, Eddie denied Angel was his daughter. Belafonte was present in her life since she was born and said she, "called me 'dad' since she started to talk." This legal drama has cause Belafonte to speak out on Eddie saying, he's "not interested" in reconciling with the daughter. Many parties attempted to get Murphy to attend the hearing, but the comedian avoided it altogether.
Mel B and Stephen have been clashing for a while now. Stephen previously won joint custody of their daughter, Madison. Mel B requested that she wanted to keep the proceedings from becoming "a media circus for an innocent little girl." Unfortunately, word is out, and with Murphy's distance from the matter, it raises more questions. These matters are best resolved as quickly as possible, as it's bound to be difficult for the children.
