In the midst of Dame Dash’s bankruptcy, there seems to be a buyer for his life rights. According to Complex, the auctioning of his life rights has been completed. The person willing to purchase it is ready to pay upwards of $550K, though the money will go directly to Dame Dash’s creditors.
A Florida court served a notice to the trustee in charge of Dame’s bankruptcy, stating that the process was complete. Everlasting Films, LLC scored big as they claimed the exclusivity to worldwide rights to Dame’s life story. This also includes “100 hours of video content, photographs, and memorabilia,” and the rights to “an unreleased, in-development documentary/film project.”
Everlasting Films, LLC has been eyeing Dame Dash’s life rights for a minute, previously making a $37K bid early on in the process. However, if their deal ultimately falls through, there’s another person, Doug Peters, who also made a bid for upwards of $500K.

Dame Dash Life Rights Have Been Auctioned
In August, Traci K. Stevenson, the trustee of Dame Dash’s bankruptcy, asked the court for permission to sell Dame’s life rights so the money could go to creditors. Even though Dame didn’t list his life rights as an asset when he filed for bankruptcy, Traci said it has “evident value in light of the Debtor's public profile and his historical association with Roc-A-Fella Records and [Jay-Z].”
“[T]he monetization of an individual's name, image, and likeness has become a well-established and actively regulated commercial market,” Stevenson wrote. “That market confirms that rights of this character -- a person's name, image, likeness, persona, and life narrative -- are recognized as commercially valuable, transferable property, further supporting the Trustee's business judgment that the Property is a marketable Estate asset appropriate for sale.”
