Meek Mill has become an unofficial squad member of the 76ers.

Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin has forged an improbable relationship with Philadelphia's favorite son Meek Mill. Upon his release, the owner pulled no shorts by bringing him into the fold, during the Sixers' spirited playoff campaign. The whole ordeal is one of those public endorsement that figures well on the bottom line, but also the has the underpinnings of a feel good story. After ringing the liberty bell at Game 5 to close out the series, Meek has become a mainstay on the sidelines.

According to ESPN's Ian Begley, the Sixers' team will fly Meek Mill with them for Game 2 of their series in Boston. There's a hope, Meek Mill's lucky streak will rub off on the Sixers' rotation. Meek Mill hung out exclusively with team personnel before and after Game 5 of their first round series against the Miami Heat. Team officials kept him abreast throughout the intermission, at a level manageable for players to mentally prepare for the road ahead. Game 1 in Boston saw them chasing the game in the middle quarters. In the absence of Kyrie Irving, reserve guard Terry Rozier has made himself a household name. His Game 1 saw him net a total of 29 points on 11-18 shooting.

Game 2 of the Conference Semi-Finals is tonight at 8:30 P.M.
