The Kenny Beats-produced track appears on Gibbs' surprise "Freddie" album.

Kenny Beats is fresh off of re-envisioning N.O.R.E. and The Neptunes' "Superthug" with Rico Nasty, and on Freddie Gibbs' and 03 Greedo's "Death Row," he's reaching back to another classic. The track interpolates Eazy E's solo single "Boyz-N-Da-Hood," recreating it's simple, piercing bleeps and pummeling 808 kicks in a faithful but modernized interpretation. Freddie runs at the beat with his own unique delivery, but when Greedo enters, he pays tribute to his West Coast predecessor in his similarly nasal tone. The versatile rapper, who has proven himself as one of the most exciting new talents of the last year through multiple releases, has been sentenced to 20 years of jail time, which makes the title of the track loom heavily over the collaboration. Despite the tragedy of his circumstances, one thing remains true -- Greedo has made his mark.

Freddie teased the song earlier this month. It comes off Gibbs' surprise-released album Freddie, which features more production from Kenny Beats, as well as RichGainz. Listen to the full project here.

Quotable Lyrics:
Cruisin' through the city in my oh-eighteen
Sendin' the bitches, servin' the fiends
Ridin' through the street, just caught a lick
Take that flip and I caught my first brick
