Rihanna Covers Vogue Arabia & People Aren't Happy About It

Rihanna may look stunning on the cover of Vogue Arabia but for some, her beauty can't hide the fact that she's crossing the line in terms of cultural appropriation. This isn't the first time Vogue has been criticized by its front cover models, earlier this year Vogue India was under fire by critics who couldn't understand why Kendall Jenner was chosen as the face of the magazine for its 10-year anniversary issue. 

The publication later came out with a statement that read, "India has given the world so many beautiful faces to admire. After all, we are Vogue, an international brand, and we want to give the love back by featuring some of the best international celebrities on our covers. Occasionally!"

The same stance has clearly been taken with Arabia publication, who has dressed Rihanna up to resemble Queen Nefertiti, one of Egypt's most celebrated figures. Riri is already familiar with the Queen, as she has a tattoo of her on her torso. Lots of fans are excited to see the "Wild Thoughts" singer channelling someone she clearly looks up to, but there's also a greater part of the Twitterverse that think the opposite.
