Rich Gang, consisting of Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, and Birdman disbanded in 2014 as RHQ wanted to focus on his solo career. Following the dissolution of the group, Young Thug's career took off as he became one of the most electric artists in the hip-hop genre, and Rich Homie has had difficulty connecting with the community on a larger scale. Thug appeared to disown RHQ following their falling out, starting "F-ck Rich Homie" chants at his shows before playing their joint hit "Lifestyle." Their beef was well-documented and it appeared unlikely that the two would ever make music together again.
While the extent of their current relationship is unknown, they may be on better terms according to London On Da Track's most recent Instagram post. Tha Tour Part 1 made Thug and Quan fans crave future collaborations and we may be getting a taste of what a 2018 collab between RHQ and Thugger would sound like. Thug's go-to producer London On Da Track shared a photo of the rapper in the studio, with a caption that got Rich Gang fans hyped. "Something special, mite gotta call Quan," wrote the producer.
Some would argue that Thug released his best work while Rich Homie Quan was his sidekick. Whether or not the two are actually planning a Rich Gang reunion is up in the air. If they do indeed link up, it would likely be a one-off thing.
