Watch John Oliver Mourn For Humanity After The Donald Trump Victory

Posted by , Nov 14, 2016 at 10:44am

John Oliver lets Americans know what we're in for with a Donald Trump presidency.

John Oliver has been roasting Donald Trump throughout the election, so the (arguably catastrophic) results wasn't exactly something he could ignore. The "Last Week Tonight" host wasn't exactly comforting, letting viewers know all the messed up shit Trump promised he'd do during his campaign, including the deportation of 11,000,000 undocumented immigrants, instituting nationwide Stop-And-Frisk, repealing Obamacare, building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, and temporarily banning Muslims from entering the United States. It's a lot to handle, and Oliver admits that the only comforting thing about this list is that Trump is so dishonest, one cannot be certain he'll even attempt any of these dire promises.

As this was the last episode of "Last Week Tonight" of the year, Oliver makes the case for why 2016 was a terrible year, election not withstanding. From the death of our favorite celebrities (Muhammad Ali, Prince, and most recently, Leonard Cohen) to the Syrian refugee crisis, we're all ready to move on to 2017. Peep the full episode above.
