Warner has quite a catalog.

WarnerMedia is a powerhouse. The mass media company has its hands on several properties, and most recently grew even larger thanks to the AT&T/Time Warner merger. Netflix has a major head start in the streaming game, with services like Hulu, Amazon Prime, and YouTube TV slowly attempting to catch up. Now, Warner Media is throwing their hat into the ring as well.

For those who may be uninformed, WarnerMedia owns HBO, Turner, The CW, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., CNN, DC Comics, and a number of other properties. That means shows and movies such as Game of Thrones, Insecure, The Wire, The Flash, Arrow, Supernatural, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Adventure Time and a long list of other hits series would be available for their streaming service. As reported by VarietyWarnerMedia CEO John Stankey revealed his plans for the streaming service during his speech at the Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit in Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 10).

"We are committed to launching a compelling and competitive product that will serve as a complement to our existing businesses and help us to expand our reach by offering a new choice for entertainment with the WarnerMedia collection of films, television series, libraries, documentaries, and animation,” Stankey said in an announcement. The streaming service is scheduled to launch in late 2019.
