We've been waiting on a new album from Wale for a minute. Although SHINE wasn't as well-received critically, his subsequent efforts reminded everyone why Wale is one of the most overlooked MC's in the game. Thankfully, a new album is on the way. The rapper took to Twitter to confirm that it's near completion.
Wale hasn't shared a whole lot of details about his forthcoming album but it's safe to say that it is coming soon. The DMV MC took to Twitter to share a short video of himself posted up with Pharrell. "Wrapping up my album wyd," he tweeted with the clip. Clearly, this means that we could expect Pharrell on the project.
Unfortunately, this project could very well be the last that we get from Wale, at least based off of a tweet from November 2018. After DJ Clark Kent asked where Wale was, the "Poledancer" rapper revealed that he was working on what he's hoping will be his final body of work. "He Wrapping up what hopefully will be the last Wale album . And finding someone who appreciates me then gettin out wit a lil bit of sanity," he tweeted.
With his new album on the way, we're hoping that he unleashes a few of his MMG collaborations. At the end of 2018, he revealed that he had endless songs with Meek Mill and Rick Ross. Whether they'll land on his project or not remains a mystery but we're eager to hear what he has up his sleeve.
