Waka Flocka Flame is counting his lucky stars. After getting arrested for bringing a handgun his carry-on bag at Atlanta’s airport in 2014, the rapper is walking a free man. Page Six reports that after a four-day trial, a Clayton County jury took less than 30 minutes Thursday to acquit him.
Waka Flocka was arrested in October 2014 after a pistol was found in his luggage during a security scan. The whole time, he claimed it was a mistake. Flockaveli told authorities that he mixed up his wife's bags with his own.
The rapper can now focus his attention on hip hop. Though he burned bridges with longtime associate Gucci Mane, Waka will feature in the new season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. No word on whether the emcee will release new joints though.
