Back in late June it seemed RTJ3 was within sights when Killer Mike told HipHopWired, "I would like to be done by July 7th." Now, six months later, Run The Jewels has finally shed light on the long-awaited album by sharing the release date (January 13th) coupled with a video teaser. The 35-second super cut features footage of Run The Jewels' electrifying performances and different crowds turning up at shows and festivals as we hear "RTJ" chants ring out triumphantly in the background.
In addition to the announcement of the album at the top of the year, the group has been revealed as guest stars in the seventh season of the hit IFC show, "Portlandia," premiering on January 5th.
For now, though you can pre-order album on the official Run The Jewels Website, and keep your eye out for details as they emerge.
