Reese LaFlare returns.

The cusp of the new year marked the arrival of Reese LaFlare’s Maybe Later mixtape. Since then, the Atlanta emcee has been relatively diligent with the music, dropping off a few singles every couple of months as he preps the arrival of his LAFLARE album. For now, he’s returned with his latest “Dontslipothedrip Freestyle.”

On the track, produced by Sladedamonsta, Reese kicks things off slow and steady, delivering over a pretty laidback backdrop as he waxes about his own skills, asking others to stop comparing him to Travis Scott or A$AP Rocky when describing his sound. “It’s all love but scan my background/ It got its own barcode,” he raps. Midway through, things change pace as the beat transitions and LaFlare turns the heat up, but the message remains the same: Reese is not to be replicated. Take a listen to the full track.

Quotable Lyrics:

I got a lot to lose
And a lot less to prove
That boy got drip and big racks
The best things come in twos
