Playboi Carti really doesn't want to go to Australia.

With all the hype surrounding the release of Playboi Carti's second album, Die Lit, it's only natural that fans would start to get excited for him to start going on tour. That was the case for his Australian fans, that is, until Sunday.

According to Music Feeds, on Sunday night, just two days before Carti was scheduled to appear in Perth, Australia, it was suddenly announced that Carti's entire Australian tour would be cancelled. This includes shows in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne as well, none of which will be graced with Carti's presence.

The promoters of the tour, Illusive Presents and Frontier Touring, stated that the tour would be cancelled due to "personal reasons," which is about as flimsy as excuses go. While the fans who were excited to see Carti perform will be able to get their money back, there's no word on whether those shows will ever be rescheduled.

This isn't even the first time that Carti has let down his Australian fans. This tour was originally scheduled to go down back in March, which Carti then postponed until what was supposed to be his first show today. One could give Carti some leeway in that he was likely working on finishing his album in March, but the album is done now.

Carti has yet to acknowledge the cancellation on any of his social media. Maybe he doesn't want to sit through the long flight to the land down under, or perhaps he's just afraid of the kangaroos.
