iLoveMakonnen "Solo" Video
ILoveMakonnen has been releasing a ton of content over the past couple weeks, most recently dropping off 4 new tracks over the weekened called “Start A New Wave,” “I Remember Makonnen,” “Stay With Me Tonight,” and “Swimming In The Money.” However, it appears he’s not down with the onslaught of new work because he returns today on his 27 birthday with a new video for his Drink More Water 6 cut “Solo.”
iLoveMakonnen's HNHH Digital Cover BTS
iLoveMakonnen ventured into the Great Outdoors for his digital cover photo shoot with HNHH. The Atlanta-born artist was in the midst of a move from New York to San Francisco at the time (early March), and thus this was one of his very last days to wander the big city. Wearing a custom-painted leather coat and heavy black shades, Makonnen roamed the park, in between cellphone usage and talking to himself.
iLoveMakonnen "Back Again" Video
Makonnen just released his Drink More Water 6 project, and it finds the rapper progressing further down his lane. "Back Again" sounds much like one of his early demos, keeping his eccentricities intact, as he remains delicate in his delivery rather than wailing. As for the video, it's a dark, stylish, but very simple visual, which finds the rapper exploring murky side of a highway, as well as cruising in his ride. Look out for our upcoming cover story with Makonnen, which should be out within the next few weeks. What did you think of his latest project?
iLoveMakonnen "Live For Real" Video
Makonnen is making use of each of the final days leading up to Friday's release of Drink More Water 6. Yesterday, the project's latest single, "Sellin," was premiered on Beats 1 radio, and today, Makonnen has shared a video to the Richie Souf-produced track "Live for Real," released in December.
Nebu Kiniza Feat. iLoveMakonnen & Key! "Myself" Video
Nebu Kiniza Feat. iLoveMakonnen & Key!
Atlanta's Nebu Kiniza's "Myself" single was making enough noise that he scored Makonnen and Key! for the remix, and now they've finally dropped the video for the track, which is just as great as it ever was. The stylish video is brought to life with some psychedelic animations, making it worth the long wait. The track itself just hit a million streams, so it's still growing in popularity, and the video should continue to raise awareness for the understated banger. Is Nebu set to have a big 2016? Let us know what you think of the track in the comments below.
iLoveMakonnen "Where Your Girl At?" Video
Makonnen's ILOVEMAKONNEN 2 is one of the more underrated projects of the last few months, serving as a solid follow-up to his breakout self-titled EP, bringing all of the energy and emotion of the release with a shinier package. "Where Your Girl At" isn't the most immediate track on the project, but once you let it's driving ad-lib sink in after a couple of listens, it becomes irresistible.

Destructo Feat. Ty Dolla $ign & iLoveMakonnen
To coincide with today’s newly-released Ty Dolla Sign & ILoveMakonne-featured single “4 Real,” electronic DJ, Destructo, decides to also share an accompanying new video in its support as well. Backed by some vibrant backdrops (similar to that of Drake’s “Hotline Bling video) the trio smoke their weed and turn up in this off-the-wall, Agata Alexander-directed clip above. This like nothing else out right now, and that’s being said in a good manner. Check it out.
iLoveMakonnen "Big Gucci" Video
If you're a rap fan, chances are you're counting the to when Gucci Mane is released from prison, but there's nowhere that's missing the presence of Big Guwop more than Atlanta. iLoveMakonnen, a rapper who's been holding things down for the city in Gucci's absence, dropped a tribute to the Trap God on his annual holiday, 10/17, and now he's shared a video for the catchy call for the rapper's freedom.

Rich The Kid & iLoveMakonnen
After numerous delays, Rich the Kid and iLoveMakonnen come through with the video for "Still Workin It" off their Whip It EP. For the video, the dynamic duo heads to the subway of New York City, shocking and entertaining commuters with their wacky antics. More music videos should do this. Produced by Sonny Digital, "Still Workin It" features a beat that is nothing short of fire. RTK and Makonnen did their thing to be sure, but in the hands of a more mainstream artist, say Fetty Wap, it could be a radio smash.
iLoveMakonnen Freestyles On Sway In The Morning
While out in NYC promoting the sequel to his self-titled debut album, ILoveMakonnen made his way by Sway’s Morning Show recently, where he decided to spit some bars for the listeners on air. Instead of coming in with some memorized bars, the ATL artist goes off the top of the dome and delivers a true, 3:28-minute freestyle going in over 2Pac’s “All Eyez On Me” instrumental. It’s always nice to see an artist really go off the top. Check it out.

The OVO signer and the Hood Rich producer create a trappy/catchy banger, with Makonnen delivering yet another amazing hook.

Today, it gets a video that features Makonnen, Rome, Ceej of Two-9, but no Rich, as he's still locked up (the hashtag #FreeRichTheKid is shown in the video).

Digital Trapstars X Too Short SXSW Showcase Recap
As usual, SXSW was one hell of a party, and Too Short's 30th anniversary show was a good representation of the insanity that goes on in Austin during the fest. HotNewHipHop was happy to sponsor the Digital Trapstars event, which saw performances from Rich The Kid, iLoveMakonne, Father, and the rest of the Awful Records gang.
